Position Summary

Assist with coordinating jobs throughout the shop from the daily production report/urgent order calendar. Maintain an ongoing cycle count program and conduct annual inventory. Provide support to the shop floor. Understand customer needs and respond to them accordingly. Maintain efficient workflow throughout the shop as well as understand the variety of jobs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Purchase supplies and no-touch orders. (KUV & Cranes)
  • Process completed trucks including certification, final inspection and quality control data entry.
  • Interface with operations management to understand and deliver according to customer needs.
  • Receive Knapheide loads and LTL shipments.
  • Process damage claims and handle returns of damaged items and service body pucks.
  • Assist the production support team throughout the day (unload trucks, chassis check-in and retrieval).

·         Attend and participate in all shop meetings and safety meetings.

  • Adhere to company safety guidelines.
  • Inspect Raleigh painted bodies.

·         Schedule work to the shop from the weekly production report.

·         Provide material handling with a list of bodies to pull for paint daily.

·         Work well under pressure & stressful situations. Need to have great people skills.

·         Works closely with employees when there is a quality issue.

·         Coordinate activities with the Raleigh branch.

·         Navigate the Knap portal to enter help desk tickets, enter product support claims, set delivery pickups for equipment and service body pucks.

·         Navigate in Spokane to order/receive parts, reduce parts, create part numbers, create parts tickets, create purchase orders, add & remove parts from jobs and look up parts.

·         Check the part order acknowledgement report daily.

·         Assist with parts customers and process parts tickets as required.

·         Certify truck & vans from the certification module.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Computer illiterate and basic knowledge of Excel
  • Fork lift experience
  • Basic knowledge of truck equipment installation (service bodies, dump bodies, cranes, van packages, PTO) is a plus.
